Woodland Painted Petals - White 4 - 4" pots
During my last 16 years of bulb hunting, I've mostly heard these called the woodland painted petals. The coral colored flowers bloom in March to April for us while the white ones bloom for us in northeast Texas in mid May. By June the foliage has disappeared. I've also seen this around Houston growing aggressively on some of the old homesites. They are small bulbs but they pack a punch! Many folks call them Freesia laxa 'alba' but they've also been labeled Lapeirousia laxa ‘Alba’ orAnomatheca cruenta, but we're going to stick with the Missouri Botanical Garden classification of Anomatheca laxa 'alba.'
