Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our Bulb Guarantee

We want your bulbs to be successful. If something is wrong with the bulbs themselves, we’ll make it right with a replacement, refund, or store credit — whichever works best for your situation. Please note this guarantee does not cover bulbs planted outside their recommended growing zone, planted incorrectly, or affected by other growing conditions outside our control.


Cancellation Policy

At Southern Bulb Company, we work hard to ship your order quickly — typically the next business day after it’s placed. Because of this fast turnaround, please review our cancellation guidelines below.

Cancellation Deadline

To cancel an order, please send your cancellation request by 12:00 PM (noon) Central Time the next business day after your order is placed. We’ll confirm receipt as soon as we can. (Requests sent by noon CST count, even if we haven’t replied yet.)

Orders placed on weekends or holidays must be cancelled by noon CST the next business day we’re open.

Order Modifications

Need to change an address, swap a variety, or adjust your order? The same deadline applies — please contact us by noon CST the next business day.

Refunds

Approved cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Orders paid with a gift certificate will be refunded as store credit or a new gift certificate.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Carrier & Address Requirements

At this time, Southern Bulb Company ships exclusively via USPS within the United States only. (This may change in the future.) Because of this, customers are responsible for providing a shipping address that can receive actual USPS mail — not just a physical street address. Some addresses (rural routes, new construction, gated communities, etc.) have a physical address but only receive mail at a P.O. Box. Please use the address where USPS delivers your mail.

Please double-check your address at checkout — autofill often pulls in old or outdated addresses.

Once Your Package Has Shipped

Once the package has shipped, cancellations are no longer possible. However, if your bulbs arrive damaged or in poor condition, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.

Returned or Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable for a reason on the customer’s end, you’ll be responsible for the cost of reshipping (return postage plus reshipping postage). Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Common reasons a package gets returned include:

  • An incorrect or incomplete address
  • An address that cannot receive USPS mail
  • A move without address update
  • Refused delivery
  • Failure to claim the package at the post office
  • An address marked “vacant” or “no such number” by USPS (common with new construction)
  • Or any other reason outside our control

We will contact you when the package arrives back at our facility to arrange payment and confirm a corrected address.

Because bulbs are a living product, we will inspect returned bulbs before reshipping. If they are no longer viable, we will offer a refund of the bulb cost (original and return shipping are non-refundable) or, when possible, a replacement.

If a package is returned due to our error (such as a labeling mistake on our end), we will reship at no additional cost to you.

Please respond within 10 business days of our notification. If we don’t hear from you, we will issue a refund for the bulbs only; shipping is non-refundable, and the order will be considered closed.

If We Can’t Ship Your Order

We only list items as “available to buy” on our website when we have them in stock and ready to ship. In the rare event we can’t fulfill your order, we will contact you directly to discuss next steps.
