Southern Bulb Potatoes
We had some extra land and decided to grow potatoes. Yes, potatoes that you eat. We have several varieties. These are new varieties and selections. You won't find these in your local grocery store. We have yellow, red, and purple varieties. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. We are selling them at $5.00/pound for each variety. You will see from the pictures what one pound looks like for each variety. We have been eating a lot of potatoes lately! We have tried them many different ways. We didn't even clean the East Texas soil off of them.
Agata: This is a great all-purpose yellow potato. These are perfect baked, roasted, steamed, pan-fried, or sauteed. They make great french fries.
Amarillo Moon: This yellow potato has excellent flavor. The flavor is enhanced even more when they are baked, boiled, or mashed.
Dore (Pure Dore): This yellow potato is great baked, boiled, or roasted.
Early Valley: This potato is white! It works great baked, boiled, or roasted.
Majestic Purple: This purple potato is great cooked any way you can imagine...roasted, boiled, baking, braised,mashed, grilled, or fried. They are a little denser than traditional yellow potatoes. They have a little nuttier and earthier flavor than white potatoes. They keep their color best if you steam, bake or fry them. Purple potatoes are known to have high antioxidant levels which offer several health benefits including heart health and controling blood sugar.
Maybe Baby: This yellow potato is about the size of "baby" potatoes (hence the name).
